yeah... like i said...

but hurt is hurt... when the wound is there... it cant be erased without a scar... i dun believe in finding out who is the wrong do-er and which is the wronged party... coz... it takes two hands to clap...

Here... i welcome u to yanzz' hk field trip!!!

The classic photo... casted by our own fellow travelling buddies from archi dtm... the words are small... but do make a guess what these sick guys are doing...

Alright... the photos are not in order! coz blogger doesnt allow me to mass shift the pics and its too leh cheh to arrange them properly =/

Last Day:

Moving to the Hong Kong and Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale... at Central Police Station Compound...

i was tryin to take the streets la... someone go aa in my photo... psst...

Entrance of the biennale... ppl extra again!

the biennale was basically an exhibition on alota works by architects all across shenzhen and hk... and it was realli extensive... couldnt finish it and i was damn tired i just fell asleep after walkin for a while... interesting thing abt this exhibition was that it was held in an "ex-prison".

one of the exhibits at the entrance... to showcase the flexibility of materials such as aluminium...

trees made of wires!!! oh gosh... silvery trees...

Alright i shall skip all those archi stuff... and here is the place where we bot the laopo bings... dint taste fantastic but we dint have time to find better ones... some posers again...

and we took the mtr to the airport... damn cool la the seats... machiam first class seats...

Before the biennale... we went to the Chanel Mobile Art Exhibition by Zahar Hadid...

yeah... the exhibition was something i dint realli expect... kinda disturbing in a way coz we had to go tru different parts of the place to appreciate real abstract stuff depicting how life is like a bag... and there were realli cool sculptures made of leather... skin... etc... basically all abt women and bags la...

At Central...

the electric tram!!! realli an interesting system coz ppl board at the butt of the bus and alight in the front! and ride was cheap! see the track lines at the bottom~

but it was kinda squeezy within the tram. that's my coursemate, jj tryin to take pics of us... as we were seated at the side...

this was taken from the previous night... at the mtr... duno y the photo composition just appear to be weird to me... =/ bleah...

aha! one of my fave pics... haha i made the guys imitate that statue... (from the left) austen, geoffrey and ernnie... kinda proud of my directing skills... haha coz i made them shift here shift there to get the exact pose... austen's one's the best i think... hiaks...

5th day: 28th Feb 2008

Stanley Market...

dint realli know what to expect at the market... tot it was just a street of shophouse style market... but was kinda surprised to see the beautiful calm waters!

wa i think i look too tiny...

in case u have been wonderin y i hafent been takin pics of the food... its not coz the food there aint nice... on the contrary, its coz we all just greedily gobbled the food before we realised that we have forgotten to take pics.... =/

ernnie and his magi mee... haha... btw magi mee in hk is realli nice lor... somehow... they just manage to cook it with the noodles tasting just nice! not too soggy or hard!

and my dessert... the tao huey was super super super soft la!!! its like... cotton candy... melting in ur mouth! mine was the one with hei nuo mi... not sure what u call it in english... yum!

oh we went to the municipal building too... with realli interesting architecture but i dun think u guys are interested... but this one is realli kinda cool... look at the rainbow streak on the ground!

and oh ya... i forgot to mention... hk was bloody cold... and there were realli nice flowers everywhere on the streets! ok not practically everywhere like everywhere if u get what i mean... but at points of time... u can just spot roses or daisies... and i'm not sure what these are called but they look nice la... real flowers ok!

ok... the original intention of hiding in the booth was to keep out from the cold wind... but i just cant help it... =p

At the Sam Tung UK Museum...

we visited this hakka museum... which used to be a hakka village... as we all know... hakkas are the tribe who travels around and they have no place of origin unlike the cantonese or hokkiens... they practically settle down anywhere across china... so... their houses are supposed to have high walls to protect themselves from intruders... and interestingly... their doors are realli low... to prevent intruders from breaking in as well....

this signs just amuses us... no nokia phone... no coke and hamburger... no saliva spitting when u talk... no running with ur hands and legs flying... no cigarette... no video camera... no flash cameras and no tripods allowed...

kao... so many rules.. as if we realli follow them...

4th Day: 27th Feb 2008

Hongkong Wetland park...

i realli liked this park... realli nice features and elements of surprises as u turn into every corner... realli nice piece of work... with interesting ways of educating the public how important wetland is to us... i dint know they could actualli help reduce the impact of destructive waves from the seas...

standing at the entrace was a gabion wall filled with recycled oyster shells! interesting way to increase public awareness ya?

the sculptures of the white owl and fox looks damn cool la! btw i realli dint know there were owls and foxes in wetlands... hm...

3rd Day: 26th Feb 2008

Lantau mountain...

we took the cablecar up... and u wldnt believe how bloody cold it was up on the the hill... we could even breathe out wisps of "white clouds"!

inside the cable car... after i stopped screaming due to the damn scary view below...

walkin towards the buddha... u cant see it from here coz its realli misty at the back...

ok... now for the climb up towards enlightenment...

i seriously dunno how many steps there were...

ok... one quarter there... still cant see the buddha yet...

halfway there!!! can see the sillhouette of the buddha already!

and... finally... we are enlightened...

oh? i was tryin to catch huijuan breathing out her wisp of "white cloud"...

the wind was damn strong and i was freezing... btw... u can see the side view of the buddha behind us! sky finally cleared a little...

Day 1 to Day 3: 24th - 26th Feb 2008

In Shenzhen...

grp pic at the airport... whew... i cld feel the cold air!

oh i did my nails... haha... first time i tried jie-ing nails...

at our hotel lobby... btw... the hotel in shenzhen was 1/3 the price of that in hk and three times the size of that in hk!!! oh gosh...

on the train... there was this uneasy silence on the train compared to sg...

bus from the airport to the mtr...

oh ya... shenzhen food was not bad... except that most of them were realli REALLI damn oily and salty... lol... but the tastiest meal i had besides dim sum was realli the unique food in shenzhen... mebe i was too hungry on the first few days la i dunno...

cute bubble tea... that was TOO sweet...

huijuan and the cong zua bing! my fave!!! realli damn yummy!!!

oh ya... and there were these panda along the streets of shenzhen "bei bei, jing jing, huan huan, ying ying, ni ni" which realli sounded spastic to me... but ok la... decided to take photos with it... coz just nice there were five of us... supposed to do a collage and photoshop us together with all the five pandas... but photos aint with me =/ me ish the jing jing!

ok... basically thats abt it for my trip... have to say it was quite fruitful despite all those stupid conflicts and problems before the trip... the travel agent in hk also SUKS... and the an an travel agent in sg SUKS even more... br...

we managed to sightsee quite abit... and travelling to shenzhen was realli interesting for me... its also the first time i've been to such a cold climate... but not bad la.. quite fun... yep... damn tired liao... costed me like 2 hrs to blog this whole thing!! not including uploadin of all the picS!!! oh gosh...
